Black Crappie
While crappie are excellent table fare, they can be difficult to manage in lakes. They are first to spawn every year and can impact bass and other forage numbers. They are not recommended for stocking in lakes under 20 acres. However, with proper management and harvest efforts they can be grown in smaller bodies of water.
